| Mrs. J.B. Webb This is the grave of my grandmother, Virginia Griffin Webb, wife of John Wesley Bell Webb, known as J. B. Webb in his adult life. Virginia Griffin Webb was the daughter of Martha Camp Griffin, and the grand-daughter of Julia Ann Virginia Gabbert Camp. Virginia and J. B. Webb lost the first six of their twelve children from birth to three years of age; three perished in the year 1900. The “baby graves” as they are known in our family are in a row beneath the cedar tree. They were vandalized several years ago and received statewide news coverage. Six generations of my family are buried at Union Ridge. |
