HICKMAN, Benjamin - Judith, W366, NC line, soldier was a
son of Joseph Hickman and was born 13 September 1762 in
Cecil County , MD and he lived in Rowan County, NC at
enlistment and after th e Revolution he moved to Wilkes
County, Georgia for two years th en to Pendleton District
SC for 16 years then to White County, T N and he applied
there 10 October 1832 and he died there 5 May 1 838, widow
applied 28 May 1844 White County, TN aged 81, soldier and
widow had married 3 May 1787 in Wilkes County, GA and she
was born in May 1762, widow died 26 November 1846 in White
County, TN, children were: Stephen born 23 January 1788,
Sarah born 27 May 1790, William born 21 Jan 1792, Anna
born 9 February 17 94, Abigail born 27 Dec. 1795, Jabeza
born 10 April 1798, Kezi a born 22 January 1801 and Jesse
Everitt born 22 October 1805; a lso shown were Abigale
McGhee died 12 October 1824, Kezia McGhe e died 1 September
1829 and Sarah Pertal died 30 March 1833; wid ow died
leaving children; Stephen, William, Anna, Jabea and Jesse
E. Hickman and the latter lived in White County TC in 1851,
soldier's brother John was of Logan County, KY in 1831.
