"This photo is of my great-grandmother and her sisters. They were born in
Stewart , MS, came to Old Troy Community in Drew Co., where their daddy
(John Joseph Vernon)died and is buried, along with a brother. Then they
moved to the Ashley Drew Co. line in Prairie Grove. Finally, all except my
great-grandmother married here and moved to Eldorado, AR, where the old
great-grandmother Catherine Elizabeth Pearson Vernon is buried, as are the
rest."
