Vickers Family of Drew County





Erastus Vickers
This is Erastus Vickers, who owned a blacksmith shop and grist mill in Selma, Arkansas. The building is still standing on the property now owned by the Ernestine King family. Erastus came to Selma from Hamilton County, Illinois. He married Mary Susie Cone, and a Mrs. R.A. Davis.

Charles Edward Vickers
Charles is the son of Erastus and Willie Claude Knoblack Vickers. Charles passed away very young from pneumonia. He is buried in Selma Cemetery.

The child in the middle is Gilbert Henry Asher- the other two are his brothers. The younger boy was killed by falling off a wagon.
