Hardy Cemetery

Dr. Henry B. Hardy, his wife, Cora (Moore) Hardy, and their son, Wilbur Marco Hardy are buried in this unique family cemetery located off Highway 225 east of Greenbrier. There are three above-ground crypts with granite markers embedded on the top and two large concrete structures adjoining the crypts. Visited by Glenna Shumate and Sondra Johnson in November of 2002, the burial place of this prominent Faulkner County physician, Arkansas legislator and senator has become overgrown and neglected. A device for lowering and raising the tops of the crypts was present, but quite rusty and located a few yards from the grave site. Photographs were taken on November 14, 2002. For a more detailed biography of Dr. H. B. Hardy, see pg. 362 of Faulkner County: Its Land and People.
