Query: Researching IZARD COUNTY for surnames COPELAND, CHURCHILL-SIMS-TAYLOR-GUTHRIE. My
paternal grandparents were John Wesley Copeland and Piercie (Piercy) Ann Sims, m. in 1899
in Sage. John Wesley Copeland's parents were Marcus Dee Lafayette Copeland (b. 1858)and
Luiza J. Churchill. Marcus D. L. Copeland's parents were Wesley Copeland and Kizariah
(Kizza), from TN. I don't know Kizza's maiden name, may possibly be LINN. Luiza
Churchill's parents were J. S. Churchill (NC) and Susan J. (IL), from the Izard 1860
census. On the SIMS side, my grandmother Piercie Ann SIMS' parents were John G. Sims and
Mary Emily Taylor (Izard 1900 census). I don't know their parents, but the 1900 census
notes that John G. Sims was b. in TN in 1858, as was his father; mother b. in Missouri.
Mary Emily Taylor was b. in AR in 1856; her parents were from TN. Am also looking for a
Georgia Churchill GUTHRIE who was doing related family research in the mid-1960's, and
lived in Calico Rock area. Would appreciate communicating with any who are researching

Query: Some people in Melbourne may consider me a pest since I have contacted some of
them. But I am still looking for the ancestors of: Stephen Alexander Campbell born 9/1833
in AL. He shows on the 1880 Census for Izard County with Francis his wife (I believe his
second) and children James Robert, William, Sarah, Mary, John, L?, Ann and Thomas. Third
wife was Dorinda Womack . James Robert my ggrandfather born 1/7/1859 died 1/29/1919 in
Pleasant Grove, AR. His son, Richard Hubert Campbell born 1/1884 in Newburg, AR died
7/1927 in Coffeyville, KS married Katherine Lee Woolsey in Eureka Springs. My father
Chester Lee Campbell born 10/08/1915 died 7/30/1970 in St. Louis, MO. Richard and
Katherine were divorced in Eureka Springs therefore I have little knowledge of his family.

Query: I would like any and all information regarding a town that no longer exists, Byler
of Izard County. I know it existed in late 1800's and early 1900's as my great
grandparents were married there and my Grandfather, Lester Aaron Byler, was born there.
His father's name was, Jacob Aaron Byler and his mother's name was, Nancy Sue Wilson. I
need information on Jacob, where he was born, date of death, where buried and any
information on his family. I know Jacob and Nancy (aka Susie) were married on Dec. 22,
1898 as I have a copy of their marriage certificate and that after Jacob's death Nancy
married a Warren (middle name unknown) Copeland also of Izard County. The only thing I
know is that Jacob died in 1900 or 1901 either before or soon after my grandfather's birth
on Feb. 11, 1901. Nancy's parents were Andrew Jackson Wilson and Mary Mariah (Williams)
