Co., TX 1850 census (erroneously transcribed as George F. GRAN. Since I
believe he was in the ARK-LA-TEX area by the mid 1830's and possibly as
early as the late 1820's, if he was in the old disputed Miller Co. area.
He and his brother were said to have stowed away from Germany onboard on
freigher that landed in New Orleans as young boys, but he is 35 in the
earliest record I have found (1850 census).
