Funeral services for A. H. Smith, retired farmer of the Springlake community in Lamb county, will be conducted at 2:30 this afternoon (Thursday), at the Springlake Baptist Church. Rev. Williams, pastor will officiate.

Mr. Smith died at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning at the Dimmitt Hospital.

Born May 24, 1882, at Dublin, Texas, he was married to Miss Martha Ammons at Doane, July 17, 1904. From there the family moved to Tulia in 1926 and farmed there until 1933 when they moved to Springlake.

Surviving are the widow, five sons, Arthur Smith, Chillicothe; Tommy Smith, Springlake; John Smith, Wichita Falls; Woodrow Smith, Richmond, Calif., and Lloyd Smith, Napa, Calif; three daughters, Mrs. J. M. Kimble, Amarillo; Mrs. C. Roy French, Richmond, Calif., and Mrs. Jack Peppin, Graceville, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Eddie Brock, Tulia twenty-one grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Interment will be in the cemetery at Earth under direction of Lemons Funeral home.
