Mrs. Letha Louisa Gray, 94, of Watson, Okla., died Saturday morning in an Idabel nursing home. She was born on June 4, 1892 at Homer, Ill.
Graveside funeral service was held at 2 p. m. Monday in the Watson Cemetery with Bro. Doyle Nations officiating. Interment was in the Watson Cemetery under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Virbeck and was united in marriage to Henry Gray on April 20, 1931. He preceded her in death on February 16, 1950. At the age of 15, she moved from Illinois with her parents to Louisiana and moved to McCurtain County. She operated a general store in Watson and she was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors are three step-sons, Hicks Gray, Hobart, Okla., Tom Gray, Horatio, Woodrow Gray, Watson, Okla.; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Contributed by Carmiel Alred |

| 5/7/2010 | Leon "Garr" Harris, Leon "Garr" Harris, 87 of Idabel, passed away on May 7, 2010 at Idabel. He was born July 17, 1922 at Avery, TX. He was raised by his parents, Henry and Frances Harris in the Pleasant Hill Community.
Leon served in the United States Army and was a World War II Veteran. He served in the Pacific Theatre, where he was a medic.
He was a bulldozer operator and worked construction all over. Leon was the one responsible for digging the Idabel Municipal Swimming Pool. Contributed by Les Bell |
| 1/21/2000 | Alise Huff, age 73, of Mena, passed away Friday, January 21, 2000 in Mena.
She was born July 31, 1926 in Battiest, Oklahoma, to the late Charlie Griffin and the late Nora Blake Griffin. She was a member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church in Watson, Oklahoma. Mrs. Huff was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include: Husband, Lonnie Huff of Mena, AR., Daughter: Jean Johnson of Mena, AR., Sons:Jim Huff of Mena, AR., Johnny Huff of Mena, AR., Jerry Huff of Mena, AR., 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Funeral services were Monday, January 24, 2000 at 2 p.m. in the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church in Watson, Oklahoma, with Brother Lewis Walker and Brother Orval Heath officiating. Burial will follow in the Watson Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Phillip huff, john Huff, Jimmy Dale Huff, Jeremy Huff, Steven Hoobler, Lonnie Joe Hoobler, and Mike Abner. Contributed by Carmiel Alred |
