Comrades and Sisters,
This year was kicked off with
our annual membership drive and fish fry on July 5th. This event was
well attended and the food was great. Thanks to the cooks, Buddy and Lee, and
each and everyone who worked to bring it all together.
September 12th
from 7:00am to 7:00pm, Hunters Education class will be held at the post. This
class will be taught by Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and is free to the
public. Ladies Auxiliary will serve lunch. For information, contact James

FALL FISH FRY - September 27th
at 12:30pm. to 3pm. Fish with all the trimmings Adults $8.00 children
twelve and under $4.00. Again, Buddy and Lee will be cooking, so we are
promised a very good fish dinner. Ladies, please bring desserts and side dishes
to make this another great feast. Rob Harris will supply music for dancing
after the meal.
HALLOWEEN DANCE Oct 30
Music by "4-Wheel Drive". This is one of our most fun times. Prizes
will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
costumes. The judges job is not easy on this as we really have some good ones.

HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL - October
31st 6:00pm at the post. Free games - food - fun for everyone.
Come join us for a safe and fun Halloween.
We will participate in the VOD
essay contest open to grades 9-12. This is a 3 to 5 minute speech on tape or
CD. The theme for this year is "Does America Still Have Heroes". Patriots
Pen contest is open to grades 6-8 and is a written essay expressing their
views on Democracy. The theme is "When is the Right Time to Honor our
military Heroes". Please encourage our youth to participate in these
worthwhile programs. Monetary awards will be given to 1st, 2nd
and 3rd place winners at Post, District and State levels. National
winners will receive substantial scholarships. All entries must be turned in by

Members, please send your
dues in if you have not already done so. We strive to be 100% by December 31st.
This is important for all our members to remain in good standing and our post
to continue to be an All State Post. Men may send their dues of $20.00 to Quartermaster,

Please continue to pray for
our military men and women who are in harms way to protect our country.
Thanks to all our veterans
who have made the great sacrifice for each of us to enjoy our freedom.
Our thoughts and prayers go
out to members who are sick and shut in at this time.
Regular meetings at the post
are 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:30pm. Potluck dinner at 6:30pm.
